Sex versus Sleep

When you meet the love of your life all you want to do is make love. It's as close as you can be to the man you hope will one day be your husband. He wants to wine and dine you but you just want to cozy up to his warm chest and smell the sweat of his long day. If my man had this bit of data in 1987 he would have saved a lot of money!

Fast forward 33 years and now the guy is not so much into wining and dining you because both are tired parents. It's Sunday so do you sleep in or do you make love. After 33 years its more like a quickie. He wins for now but I do get back to sleep and am ready for a day of full on parenting our 3 teenagers. What happened to us? Is it that obvious that it is because we have been married a long time with no other lovers and now have 3 teenagers? You would be surprised that although that is in great part true, it's less than half the story. What a long story it is. Thus the blog.
